Individual Business Search with payment grade (IBS)
The Individual Business Search is an indispensable search used to assess an individual with a snapshot of the company/business profile and litigation counts. The information allows you to quickly trace related business ownerships of an individual and assess the credit worthiness of the person. Now it comes with the DP Credit / Payment Grade.
DP Credit / Payment Grade uses a grading model which takes into consideration financial and non-financial factors for assignment of grades. Payment performance experienced by DP SME Commercial Credit Bureau members is factored into the grade indicating the payment track record of the company being rated.
The DP Credit / Payment Grade
- is based on factors such as payment history, debt amount, litigation history, and related financial criteria.
- is computed using the most recent information that may impact the individual's performance at the time of the grading.
- may vary from month-to-month as variables that impact the credit/payment performance of a company/business can change over a period of time.
- Great care must be taken to fully appreciate the implications of the grade. A weak grade for a company does not mean that it is certainly going to default. It indicates that the company on an average basis takes a longer period to repay financial obligations compared to others with a stronger grade.
The Grade by DP is an opinion of the individual's credit / payment capability based on prevailing information made available to DP Information at the time of the grading. Thus, the validity of DP Credit / Payment Grade of an individual is as on a given date.
